Shakespeare Cottage

Situated in a peaceful cul-de-sac very close to the railway station and city amenities, Shakespeare Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the medieval cathedral city whilst enjoying stylish accommodation. We have designed the cottage so you'll enjoy staying in as much as venturing out! Salisbury's shops and restaurants are within a 10 minute walk, and sites like Stonehenge, Old Sarum and Wilton House are a short drive away.

Our cottage is perfectly situated to offer you the best of both worlds. You'll enjoy the serenity of a quiet cul de sac while being just a stone's throw away from all the action. Explore local shops, dine at charming restaurants, or take a scenic walk in the nearby parks. The choice is yours!

As you enter the cottage, you are greeted by a stylish living room; the ideal spot to spend a cosy night in, in front of the TV or curled up with a good book. Beyond the living room you enter the dining room, decorated with signature pieces we have collected from years of working with hospitality establishments. The upcycled dining table comfortably seats 7, perfect to host a home-cooked meal with friends or family. At the back of the cottage there is a newly fitted modern kitchen, home to an electric stove, oven, toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge freezer. Tea, coffee, sugar and basic condiments are provided.

 

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms; a spacious double room with built in wardrobes and dressing table, and a bunk-beds "kids" room with an additional full sized single floor mattress which can be set up on request. Finally, there is a modern bathroom with spacious walk-in shower.In summer, enjoy the private patio out back.

✻ Stylish, Fully Equipped Kitchen: Embrace your inner chef! The modern kitchen is stocked with everything you need to whip up delicious meals.

✻ Cosy Open-Plan Living and Dining Room: Share memorable meals and quality time in our open-plan living and dining room. Comfortable seating, a dining table, and tasteful décor create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Spend cosy nights in streaming your favourite TV shows (via your own account, no terrestrial channels). The sofa extends into a 3/4 sized double bed suitable for 1 adult or 2 small children.

✻ Utility Area: For your convenience, we've provided a washing machine. Keep your clothes fresh and clean, even during longer stays.

✻ Private Patio: A tranquil spot to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind with a glass of wine in the evening. Outdoor bench seating is provided, and there's even a shed for bike storage to the front of the house if you're feeling adventurous.

✻ Condiments: salt, pepper, olive oil, selection of teas, coffee, sugar, fresh milk in the fridge

We will share plenty of recommendations of things to see and do locally, all laid out in a user-friendly digital welcome guide which will be shared with you ahead of check-in. We have partnered with local independent restaurants and experience providers to offer you exclusive discounts - more details are shared in the digital guidebook once the booking is confirmed.

Free on-street parking is available on a first come first served basis on all streets within parking Zone D. Please share your car registration with us prior to arrival so we can arrange a digital permit for 1 car. Please be aware that available parking spaces are limited after 5pm so you may need to drive around the block to find a space!

 

The sofa bed opens into a small double, so is suitable for 1 adult or 2 children.

The gas fire in the living room is currently not in use - please don't try and turn it on!

We offer a complimentary spruce up clean every fortnight. A fresh linens and towels service can be booked on request (£20 per bedroom). Should you desire more frequent Housekeeping, we will he happy to discuss this with you.

LONGER STAYS
Please note that for longer bookings (21+ nights) we will cover electricity/gas usage up to £100 a month. Any excess will be charged to the Guest. We offer a complimentary spruce up clean every fortnight. A fresh linens and towels service can be booked on request (£20 per bedroom). Should you desire more frequent Housekeeping, we will he happy to discuss this with you.
